It's that time again! Time to do quizzes, set the kids loose on the competitions and ra, consume vast quantities of BBQ and desserts, chat, laugh, watch people throw water balloons around - or even have a go yourself! All free, no need to book, just turn up. And if it rains, we just move it all inside!

TRUTH TO TRANSFORM
TUESday 17th
JUNE, 7.30pm
Time to stretch your brain - and change! Stéphane Simonnin will be speaking to us about Christ, God and The Council of Nicaea. It's 1700 years since the Council of Nicaea so we thought it would be appropriate!
What does it mean for the man Jesus of Nazareth to be God? What is the difference between God and creation? These are only two of the questions about the nature of God and the person of Christ that the early church struggled to answer. The Council of Nicaea was convened in 325AD as an attempt to settle disagreements over these questions, and was the first ecumenical council of the church. Stéphane Simonnin will help us to put the council in its historical context and consider what lessons can be drawn from its achievements and limitations.
